Forgiveness and Forgiving.
Find your own reasons

Running through all of Duncan McColl’s Pilgrim Recordings is the theme of being able to forgive , to live and let live. It is a necessary step to take in order to heal body mind and emotionally.

To be able to let go of all ill feelings that restrict your life is a necessary step to take both at a conscious mind level and even more importunely at within your subconscious control mind’s. I do mean minds for their are different parts that need to let go of this old habit that is usually formed at the less mature stages of your early life.

Most of the religions teach that the act of forgiveness is a vital part of a spiritual life and this theme runs through Christianity, Hinduism who request atonement for ones wrongdoing through to Islam that teaches that God is the most forgiving to Buddhism who are very close to the mark when they teach that this practice is helpful to prevent harmful thoughts from causing havoc in your life.

To Huna which has it spot on. This act of ceasing to feel anger, resentment and indignation at the real or imaginary acts of offense to you or someone else removes much negative self harm. Being able to do this with your self brings such freedom of thought that for this reason alone it is well worth it.

What often happens is that the act is continued as a form of self punishment in your life for some act that your unconscious mind deems wrong so that it is often very useful to preform some act of payment to close the deal. By that I mean giving up smoking for a week or anything that the younger mind agrees to as an act of compensation for the offense.

Indulging in this act involves forgiving any one that may have offended you in any form and also asking the same from any one that you may have caused offense to. It is a two way street.

One final point it takes great strength to forgive and many emotionally immature people will not be able to do it with ease. It allows you to remove dead yesterdays from your mind so that you cease to relive history,

Self love and understanding brings you to the realization that forgiveness is a selfish act done totally for your own benefit to allow you to be free from yourself limiting past conditioning. Maybe it’s now time.
