I don’t want to look at it.
I don’t want to
look at it.
Often in peoples lives they will come across a situation
that is painful or unwanted. It is often a common response
and I have listened to it often.
“I just don’t want to look at it”
At least they are being honest but the problem is not
usually a self repairable fault.
At best they will continue as they are with little changing
in life. So what causes this?
Usually it is a lack of self knowledge and awareness of the
drivers within them.
Some part of the control mind has other games to play and
other goals to accomplish.
We have a case of unconscious incongruence often called
self sabotage. You know what it is like you consciously
desire an outcome and make a conscious decision to reach
your goal and then your other mind fights you.
You might have decided to stop smoking and a week later
discover that you are smoking twice as much and you some
how forgot the decision you made to quit. Some people who
make the decision to become healthier and improve their
lives wake up at two am in the kitchen after having eaten
the cake they did not know they bought.
This is a real cool trick.
Just imagine what you could do when this part of you plays
ball and decides to help you to achieve your goals.
Often when you decide to ignore a problem you know it is
the wrong thing to do but your control mind decides to use
emotional hijacking and then fills you with feelings of
dread and makes it easer for you just not to bother.
A lack of maturity is also often involved if you have young
children around you often see the same mental and emotional
process at work.
They know they should do something like their homework or
tidying up they know the consequences yet they still decide
not to behave and the more often you allow them to get away
with it the more you condition them in to the very
behavioral problems that you seek to avoid.
Imagine what it is like for a subconscious mind that is
basically lazy and wants things to go on as they are who
has had forty years of not being controlled.Tens of
thousands of times of knowing just do it you wont get
punished.
If the person attempts to gain control I will just hijack
their emotions and make them feel bad for a while and they
will do as I want. They have no idea about controlling
their motions. I know I can get away with it.
This tends to be what happens if you allow your inner child
to run the show. Any one of the big four will allow
you to begin a process of putting you more fully in
control and begin the process of training your inner kid
to behave in a way that you consciously desire.
So if you find yourself not wanting to look at it, your
choice. But do you really want a kid to run your life?
